PERLAZID® -Bactericide

Pharmaceutical Packaging
-
In pharmaceutical packaging such as blisters, the growth of micro or putrefactive organisms, moulds and yeasts is possible. They can, for example, enter through the ambient air during the filling process and proliferate on the surface of the packaging and tablet. It can not only occur in small blisters, but also in bulk packaging and bags used to transport tablets. Our film eliminates bacteria and fungi with a previously unachievable efficiency.

Medical Applications
Non-wovens for wound dressings coated with PERLAZID® prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in the wound. For cooling gels PERLAZID® also helps to prevent the growth of moulds between the gel and the non-woven, resp. between protection medium and liner. This stops the packaging from becoming discoloured and emitting unpleasant odours whilst the healing process continues. An interesting fact is that our coating is unaffected by gamma radiation and stays effective long after the packing has been opened.

Hygiene, Stethoscopes and more
In the hygiene sector we are carrying out first production runs for masks, shoe inserts, as well as cleanroom footmats for hospitals and tablet packaging areas.
Another special idea is to apply PERLAZID® in stethoscopes used by doctors: microorganisms can be transferred at an ideal temperature from one nutrient medium to another through the amplifier funnel.
